Scout Week in Taizé

The Scout Week in Taizé is a joint initiative of the ICCS and the Community of Taizé and took place for the first time in the year 2009. Since then Scouts from all European countries and the Mediterranean Region regularly come together in Taizé for this event. There they take part in the weekly youth meetings and discover together their spiritual roots. The Scout Week in Taize has been designed to help young scout leaders to view their daily life in the light of the Gospel: praying together three times a day, reflecting on the wellsprings of the faith, exploring the Promise, the Law, and the Principles of Scouting. Common activities like hikes, games and singing are also part of the programme as-well-as learning to know the diverse traditions of the other Scouts.
